Bristol Goes to the Movies!

In this 2-part program at the Bristol Historical Society, the 5 movies listed below were chosen to show how they affected the American audiences and America in general. The 2nd part of the program which will be held on July 16, 2015, at BHS as part of the Third Thursday Program, 7pm, relates the history of the local theatres that once existed in Bristol. Friday March 13, 7pm, The Crowd (1928-Silent), directed by King Vidor. This movie was produced at the end of the Silent Era and shows a slice-of-life story of a working-class family during the Jazz Age.
