Lantern Tour 2022:
After a two-year hiatus, the popular West Cemetery Lantern Tour is returning on Friday, September 30 and Saturday, October 1. The Historical Society is proud to co-sponsor this event with the Bristol Cemetery Commission. For those who have not attended in previous years, during this evening guided walk through West Cemetery, you will be introduced to some notable cemetery “residents” who will share some of their history with attendees. This is an engaging way to spend an evening and learn a little Bristol history.

BRISTOL - A college scholarship awarded to Eric Frenette by the Bristol Historical Society 15 years ago is being recycled back into the community.
“I was fortunate to get that scholarship,” said Frenette of the $500 scholarship from the historical society he was awarded upon graduating from high school in 2002.

BRISTOL — Bristol’s history was illuminated Friday during the inaugural lantern tour of West Cemetery.
Over 100 people flocked to the historic cemetery at 49 Pound St. for the tour sponsored by the Cemetery Commission, The Bristol Historical Society and the West Cemetery Association. It was funded with a $500 grant from The Main Street Community Foundation.
