Our New Location

In November 2001, the Bristol Historical Society purchased the former Bristol High School building from the City of Bristol for $1.00. Plans include a full-scale renovation and rehabilition of the building to create a museum and exhibit space, as well as a place for community meetings and events.

Building History
The first Bristol High School was opened for use in 1891. It was built on the corner of Summer Street and Center Street at a total cost for the land and building of $35,000.
